Can I change the email address associated with my account?

Yes, you can.

Simply log in to your account and select "Change email" from your user menu. You need to provide a new valid email address and your account will start using the new email address for any notifications send. As always if you have any questions or require further assistance you can contact us using the Contact us form!

Can you help me register for a conference?

ConferenceIndex is a conference listing service which means that we do not participate in the organization of any of the conferences listed on the site.

If you would like to register for a particular conference or acquire more information about any of the conferences listed on the site please do visit the individual conference web pages.

Also, please do make sure to read the Terms & Conditions section of our website. 

I just submitted a conference but it does not appear. Why?

Conferences first pass through a basic check which includes the website provided, the language of the conference and a broad check of the type of the event that was submitted.

This procedure usually requires a day to complete so conferences submitted are usually added to the Index within a day from submission. If you would like to learn more about the types of conferences listed please see our FAQ section.

What functionality is available to registered users?

There are a lot of features available for registered users:

  • Registered users can submit conferences and track their progress through the site.
  • They are also able to edit the details of the conferences they submit, if for example there is a date or location change.
  • They are able to add the Call For Papers for the individual conferences they submit to the Index.
  • They can receive email notifications about any status changes of their conferences
  • They have the ability to amend their profile and preferences
  • They have access to our new service for creating Conference Sites directly from their account!
What types of conferences are listed on the site?

ConferenceIndex is a directory of international academic/research conferences from around the world. Conferences listed on the site should:

  • provide details about the conference using the English language
  • provide a link to a web page that displays that information in the English language as well
  • provide publication opportunities for attendees (poster, oral presentation, submitted paper) and include the equivalent of a Call For Papers section
  • not use the website of the organizing or hosting institution/organization as the website url for the conference. They should rather use a url that points to specific information about the conference.
  • the link provided should be the actual link of the conference page (please do not include redirects to other locations)
What if the details of a conference are not correct?

If you notice any incorrect information presented for any of the conferences listed on our pages please do let us know by sending us an email.

Even though we do review the details of the conference entries listed on our directory it is always possible that the details presented are not consistent or correct. Your help is deeply appreciated.

Can I edit the details of a conference I have registered with ConferenceIndex?

Conferences that have been registered anonymously cannot be changed directly from the web site.

If you are a registered user and you have registered the conference while logged in to your account you will be able to edit the details of your submission.

Do I have to be a registered user to submit a conference?

No, conferences can be submitted anonymously but if you do decide to register as a user of the site you will be able to access extra functionality that is not available to non registered users.

For example email notifications about the current status of your conference, the ability to update the conference details and add a full Call For Papers.
