Dear Colleagues, It is my pleasure to invite you to the 96th Congress of the European Orthodontic Society (EOS), which will take place from 10th–14th June 2020 in Hamburg, Germany. The two main themes of the scientific programme will focus on the role of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopaedics in oral health. Secondly, experts in bone biology and orthodontics will give us an update on the topic “all about bone in orthodontics”. Also new scientific and clinical developments will be presented in the free topics section. Excellent keynote speakers will critically analyse these subjects, followed by short presentations of new research data. In the era of globalised online information, our annual congress not only aims to provide new scientific information but also to bring together researchers and clinicians from all over the world and to establish long-lasting collaborations and friendships. The large number of participants that attend the EOS meetings every year is the best proof of this. A special invitation is addressed to the future of our discipline, the orthodontic postgraduate students of European and other programmes, to submit and present their research and to make friendships for life in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
