Description

The Second Biomedical Data Science Summer School and Conference (BIOMED DATA 2026) will be held in Budapest from July 6 to 17, 2026. Building on the success of its first edition, this international event brings together education, research, and professional networking in the rapidly evolving field of biomedical data science. The program consists of two interconnected yet independently accessible components. The 7-day Summer School offers intensive, hands-on training in health data science, providing participants with up-to-date methodological knowledge and practical skills. It is followed by a scientific Conference dedicated to cutting-edge research in data-intensive biomedical sciences. The Conference welcomes contributions addressing challenges in biological and medical research driven by large-scale and complex data. Core topics include artificial intelligence and machine learning in biomedicine, multi-omics data integration, medical imaging and computational vision, natural language processing for clinical data, explainable and trustworthy AI, computational modeling of biological systems, digital health technologies, network science applications, causal inference, and advanced biostatistical methods. Distinguished keynote speakers include David Fenyo, Petra Vertes, Jorg Menche, and Andreas Dengel, representing leading international institutions. Beyond the scientific sessions, the event provides valuable opportunities for networking and interdisciplinary exchange among researchers, clinicians, and data scientists.
