Description

Following its remarkably successful conference in 2017, in 2019 AORTIC expects to welcome more than 1000 participants from over 55 countries to engage with the theme “Cancer in Africa: Innovation, Strategies, Implementation” and benefit from a programme developed by an internationally-representative Scientific Programme Committee. AORTIC is the largest and longest-established international conference that has a multidisciplinary focus on cancer in Africa and takes place solely in Africa. It is focussed on cancers that affect Africans, and care protocols and treatments that are relevant in the African environment, whether it be low-resourced, underserved by healthcare professionals, or culturally. The biennial international conference is the perfect platform for great minds to share, learn, and collaborate in the field of oncology. It is through gatherings like this that giant strides towards improving the lives of all Africans can be made. Held over four-days, AORTIC 2019's plenary, parallel and poster sessions, special interest group workshops and exhibition offer interactivity, engagement and networking. The 2019 programme will be AORTIC’s most innovative and interactive programme to date, addressing issues across the cancer-care continuum in Africa. Designed to spark collaboration and generate spaces for sharing experiences, the 2019 programme will ask the difficult questions, share real case studies, and create solutions.
