Description

The roles of Fibroblast Growth Factors (FGF) in stem cell biology, tissue response to injury, in the pathogenesis of genetic and malignant diseases, and as endocrine factors affecting health, disease and aging are rapidly progressing. New papers are regularly being published that have either FGF signalling as a primary focus or that examine FGF interactions with other signalling pathways. Because of the rapid progress in the field of FGFs there remains a real need to have frequent conferences that serve to educate newcomers to the field and allow long-term FGF researchers to catch up on FGF biology in different organ systems or diseases. The 3rd Fibroblast Growth Factor Conference aims to bring together researchers from different disciplines with an interest in FGF biology/biochemistry and clinical applications. This will be the third FGF Fusion conference, building on two very successful previous meetings. This meeting will provide a unique opportunity for researchers to meet each other, to discuss their projects and to initiate new and in some cases highly interdisciplinary research projects and collaborations. Scientific chairs: Sabine Werner (ETH Zurich) and Bradley Olwin (University of Colorado)
