Call For Papers

The Organising Committee of ANZSOM’s 2018 Annual Scientific Meeting is now calling for papers for this major educational event. Run over three days from Monday 8th to Wednesday 10th October, the technical program aims to deliver a diverse and high quality educational experience for participants.

The theme of the conference “Perspectives in Occupational Health” will enable us to accommodate a broad range of papers, looking at occupational health issues from the perspectives of workers, employers and occupational health professionals. The conference coincides with the 50th Anniversary of ANZSOM, so the Organising Committee is also keen to receive papers that reflect on the developments in occupational health and medicine over this period.

Papers will be allocated to one of two formats:

  • 15 minute oral presentation
  • 5 minute “brief reports” format

All papers presented at the conference will be eligible for the David Goddard Best Paper Award which will be judged based on the following criteria:

  • Relevance to the conference theme of “Perspectives in Occupational Health”
  • Technical / scientific merit
  • Original work that contributes to advancement in occupational health
  • Quality of presentation, including layout, content and timeframes adhered to.

Presenters must register for the conference and will be required to pay registration for the day their paper is being presented. Please complete the application form (http://www.anzsom.org.au/annual-scientific-meeting/call-for-papers) and forward to the ANZSOM Secretariat by Monday 2nd July 2018.
