Call For Papers

The Economics Unit of ATINER, will hold a Stream on “Chinese Economy” as part of the 13thAnnual International Symposium on Economic Theory, Policy and Applications, 2–5 July 2018, Athens, Greece sponsored by the Athens Journal of Business & Economics.

China has ended the period of fast growth in the past more than three decades (with annual average growth rate at about 9 percent) to enter a period  of new norm with a lower growth rate accepted and innovation and consumption more emphasized as the engine of growth. Three economists from China’s top business educational institute Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, Professors Wei LI, Yijiang WANG and Chenggang XU who have published extensively on China and other economic topics in mainstream economic journals, will explain what to expect of the world’s second largest economy in the new-norm period, e.g., governmental monetary and fiscal policies, industrial policies, social initiatives and macroeconomic performance. This stream will consider papers that deal with any aspect of the Chinese Economy. You may participate as presenter of one paper, chair or/and organizer of a session, or observer.

Fee structure information is available on www.atiner.gr/2018fees.

Special arrangements will be made with a local hotel for a limited number of rooms at a special conference rate. In addition, a number of special events will be organized: A pragmatic symposium (as organized in Ancient Athens but fine tuned to synchronous ethics), a special one-day educational island tour, a Mycanae and island of Poros visit, an Athens educational walking tour, an one-day visit to Delphi and an ancient Corinth and Cape Sounion visit.
